Day 18 is the day we reach the Grand Canyon,

but on the way we stop at the Sunset Crater Volcano National Park

and have lunch of chicken burgers in Flagstaff, about 40-miles south of the Canyon

From Sunset Crater Volcano National Park there are views of the San Francisco Peaks

At 3pm (Arizona time) we reach the Grand Canyon National Park and book into the historic El Tovar Hotel for three nights, before walking the short distance to the South Rim of the Canyon. We further explore the Grand Canyon during Days 19 and 20
