After an exhausting morning exploring this wonderful example of a Minoan palace, with its relics of buildings that date from around
1900BC, we relax in the cafe with orange juice and a cookie, before driving back to the hotel.
Our room's electronic key fails
to work due to an earlier power cut (apparently, a fairly frequent occurrence) and we get to use a good, old-fashioned metal key.
The evening meal's menu includes a delicious lamb shank, which Jeanette chooses, whilst David has sea bream
