Although our tour of Punta Arenas was interesting, it would have been better if the guide had put together a cohesive story and organised his management of his customers better.

 

After lunch of pasta in The Lido, we watch the film "Plane" on the theatre's big screen, which is exciting in parts but with a totally far fetched story.

 

In the evening we dine in the Canaletto restaurant with Steph and Michael, all of us dressed smartly for the designated "dressy" code. Another excellent meal with both of us starting with tiger prawns. Jeanette then has chicken followed by tiramisu; while David has scallops, calamari, and mussels, with ice cream for dessert.

 

 

The alarm is set for 6:30am as at this  time we are to be cruising through Glacier Alley. However, it is still dark, so we reset it for 7am., and with a bit more light at this time, we are soon admiring some magnificent scenery. A lovely start to the day that includes sightings of dolphins.

 

There are plenty of scenic views to appreciate as the ship cruises slowly through the channel with a pilot on board. We go outside to watch the ship berth in Ushuaia and to get some exercise on Deck 3.
