Day 28. Our last full day before commencing our homeward journey is
spent exploring Seattle, including viewing the Fallen Firefighters Monument
Mount Rainier and Seattle harbour
Seattle Garden Center where Jeanette purchases a bell
The Space Needle and a view of the monorail system
Seattle skyline viewed from the ferry to Bainbridge Island
Days 29 & 30: we return the Buick to Alamo Rental where its hailstone-dented surfaces are greeted with a shrug. The car's mileometer
reads 3,892, all but 117 having been completed by us between Salt Lake City and Seattle. Our flight from Seattle to Chicago is by
a McDonnell Douglas Super 80 - we then have a wait of just over 3-hours before flying overnight to Birmingham on American Airlines'
Boeing 767.
